Its time for a couple of #1 songs!

Well I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and looking forward to a great New Year so lets finish 2008 off with another pair of Billboard #1 songs. The first is from August of 1964 and was a completely out place big hit. It was right in the middle of the Bristish Invasion and Motown beginning to dominate the airwaves when old reliable and tremendous singer Dean Martin hit #1 with "Everybody Loves Somebody":

and now we move to this week in 1967 as the Beatles closed out the year with the top song of "Hello, Goodbye" from "Magical Mystery Tour"

#1 Songs of the day

Well lets look at a couple from the 1960s. First lets watch Herman's Hermits from May 1965 as they sing their #1 smash "Mrs Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter". It spent 3 weeks on top of Billboards Hot 100:

and we follow that up with the song that Herman's Hermits knocked out of number one with "Mrs. Brown". Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders "The Game of Love" and if you notice these were both filmed during the same concert in 1965.
