Yesterday Doug and myself went to see a hockey game, the Bloomington Prairiethunder vs Fortwayne Komets in Bloomington IL. We had a great trip and the game was fun and quite a bit of action. The arena in Bloomington is small but is great for hockey, everyone is close to the action and really not a bad seat in the house. Kind of reminds me of the arena in Kalamazoo Michigan. We have had some great trips to go watch our Ice play the Wings and may have to go next year to see a game even without a team to follow.
I have posted some pictures from the game. As you can see it was a sparse crowd. I believe the Illinois State basketball teams play here too so that is why they have the state of the art scoreboard. Overall a great experience and a great time.
