New #1 on the NYTimes Bestseller List - Fiction and Non Fiction

The week ending May 14th 2010 gave us 2 new #1 books atop the NY Times Bestseller List.



New to the Top of the fiction list is Dead in the Family (A Sookie Stackhouse Novel) by Charlaine Harris.
This is almost a year to the day that her last Sookie Stackhouse book Dead and Gone reached the top of the list. If you are not familiar with this character, she is the lead in the True Blood HBO series.
Also new to the top 10 of the bestseller list this is are Innocent by Scott Turow debuting at #3, Blue-Eyed Devil by Robert B Parker debuts at #9 and coming in new at #10 is Tell-All by Chuck Palahnuik.


The new #1 book atop the NY Times Non Fiction list is the new memoir from former first lady Laura Bush, Spoken From the Heart debuts at #1 this week. Its been almost 7 years since a first lady had a #1 bestseller, that was Living History by former first lady Hillary Clinton in 2003.
Also debuting this week on the non fiction list in the top ten are Mom: A Celebration of Mothers from StoryCorps. It comes in at #5 while new at #7 is The Last Stand by Nathaniel Philbrick, subtitled Custer, Sitting Bull and The Battle of Little Big Horn.
Coming into the 8th spot is Sh*t My Dad Says by Justin Halpern and the last of the debut books is My Fair Lazy by Jen Lancaster.
