With neither the Kentucky Derby declared winner Country House and race winner Maximum Security choosing to not run in the 144th Preakness it seemed to be a dull follow up to the great Derby, however things are not as they seem. It a strange action, longshot BodExpress lunged out of the gate at the start and threw his jockey John Valasquez and proceeded to run the entire race with the pack and finish without his jockey. Thus, turning this into a must watch race and almost becoming the story over Preakness winner War of Will.
