This week's OTR show is the legendary "Dragnet" starring and created by Jack Webb.

This went on to become and radio staple in the last decade of OTR and with a move to television shortly after debuting on radio it became the blueprint for all "police procedural" shows that came after.

This episode is "The Big Bungalow" from November 15th 1951

The Lux Radio Theatre.
December 10th 1951
 "The Lemon Drop Kid"
The story of Damon Runyon's race track tout, spiced with Bob's ad libs. Bob tries to crack up John Milton Kennedy during a commercial but Kennedy muscles through, despite the audience giggles. After the story, Marilyn Maxwell misreads a line. Bob ad libs and cracks up the audience. William Keighly ad libs right back, but doesn't get a laugh
