1975 NBA MVP

Bob Mcadoo of the Buffalo Braves (now LA Clippers) led an undermanned Braves team to the playoffs with 49 wins and led the league with 34.5 points per game to win his 2nd of 3 consecutive scoring titles and his only NBA MVP trophy.
The Braves were ousted in the first round by the Washington Bullets after a tough 7 game series.
This would be McAdoo's and the Braves finest season with the Braves moving to San Diego, California in 1978 and did not get 50 wins until 2012-13 season as the Los Angeles Clippers.
McAdoo would eventually win 2 NBA titles, as a player, with the Los Angeles Lakers in 1982 and 1985.  He has 3 NBA titles as an assistant coach with the Miami Heat winning in 2006, 2012 and 2013.
He still holds the Braves/Clippers records for most minutes play per game (40.1), field goals made per game (11.1)  and field goal attempts per game (22.1).
