The world lost a true legend with the passing of Willie Mays at the age of 93. By most experts and baseball people he is considered the best all around athlete in baseball history and maybe the best ballplayer to ever play the game.

Willie Mays hits his 600th career home run.
At the time joined Babe Ruth as the only 2 players in major league baseball history with 600 or more home runs.
He made history against the San Diego Padres
