Bonanza Season 6


After the fun with Gunsmoke Season 3 I have decided to do another legendary western's first season as the #1 television show in prime time, Bonanza.

Season 6, 1964-65 saw Bonanza take over the top spot in prime time television, after Gunsmoke fell to #2 behind Wagon Train in 1960 then first 2 season of the Beverly Hillbillies being the #1 show, Bonanza moved to the top after sitting at #2 for the previous 2 seasons.

Jack Benny's New Look - 1969 TV Special

From 1969, one of Jack's tv Specials for NBC, Jack Benny's New Look.
This is a good example of why Jack seemed to stay relevant and more generations knew him and loved him because of these specials.  Of course you can say that about Bob Hope and George Burns also but Jack seemed to transcend all boundries of age and time.  Forever 39
