38 year old Kareem Abdul-Jabbar becomes the oldest winner of the NBA Finals MVP trophy.
Kareem led his Los Angeles Lakes to a 4 games to 2 win over the defending NBA champion Boston Celtics and it was the Lakers first Finals ever win over the Celtics.
Abdul Jabbar would average 30.2 points, 11.3 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 2 blocks to win his 2nd Finals MVP Trophy, his first was in 1971 after guiding the Milwaukee Bucks to their 1st and only NBA Championship.
