30 years ago today (Nov 18th 1985) the world was introduced to the little boy, Calvin and his stuffed tiger, Hobbes.  They would become legends in the comic world and Bill Watterson was the genius creator and entertained us for 10 years before retiring and leaving us wanting more.

Elvin Hayes appears on the May 8, 1978 cover of Sports Illustrated. The 1968 NBA Draft’s first overall pick out of Houston, Elvin Hayes won Rookie of the Year and made 12-consecutive All-Star Games while winning a championship with the Washington Bullets in 1978. Nicknamed “The Big E,” the Hall of Fame center/power forward turned 70 years old Nov. 17, 2015.
