#1 Song of the Week

40 years ago today man walked on the moon and set the whole world alight with thoughts of fantastic space flight to other worlds and the great future that lie ahead. In a coincedence of a sort the number one song at the time was "In The Year 2525" by Zager and Evans. Denny Zager and Rick Evans hailed from the great plains of Nebraska and this would be their only hit record and one they tried to move away from over the years. This was not "their sound" according to Rick Evans in Billboard magazine in 1969 so they never recaptured the popularity this song brought them during the week of the moon walk.
