Casey Kasem 1932-2014

Casey was very influential to me as a teenager and I went into radio (for a short time) because I wanted to do a show like American Top 40.  Life got in the way but I still listened and still want to be Casey and thanks to internet he will always be with us.

Those occasions when Casey Kasem wasnt available to do the taping for America's Top Ten he had good substitutes and on this occasion it was game show host and former LA disc jockey Bob Eubanks.

I think Bob does a good job, this has been really cut down but you get a good idea of how the show went.

Well here is where America's Top Ten "jumped the shark" when Tommy Puett took over for Casey as he he did not renew his contract. Not a very good time for music in my opinion.
