(June 6th 1980, this was the #1 movie in the USA for the 3rd consecutive week. "Empire" had debuted in theaters May 25th, Memorial Day weekend, with $8.43 million. This was biggest debut weekend of 1980 and "Empire" would be the the #1 movie of 1980 with $209.3 million in revenues.)

The Trailer Park
This week we go to the trailer park to mark the 27th anniversary of the opening day of
"Return of the Jedi".
This was the 3rd in the Star Wars Trilogy released between 1977 and 1983. This would set the record for opening day box office with $6,219,629.00 and eventually grossing over $475 million dollars world wide and is currently the 83rd biggest movie of all time. With the inflation ajusted totals it ranks 15th alltime with $474,772,300 and only 3 spots behind "The Empire Strikes Back".
