#1 song of the Day -- Double Shot!

First up is The Beatles from April 1970, actually the album Let It Be was recorded in 1969 before Abbey Road but then shelved because the group wasnt happy with the sound. It was completely remixed and edited by Phil Spector before its release in 1970 as the last album for the Beatles. In 2003 the surviving Beatles gave their approval to have the album remixed in their original version, George ok'd it shortly before his untimely death. The one song Paul felt was ruined by Phil Spector's Wall of sound style of producing was "The Long and Winding Road". I have this album and its not that big of a difference until you get to the aforementioned song. I enjoyed it and still enjoy the original too.
Now here is the #1 song from May 23rd 1970 the last #1 song for the Beatles...The Long and Winding Road. This is the verison used on the LET IT BE...NAKED album

Ok so we had the last #1 song for the Beatles, how about the to date, last #1 song for the Rolling Stones, the only Beatles contemporary to keep going pretty much intact since the 1960s.
Here from August 1978 "Miss You"
